Graviron Aerospace Appoints Former NASA Engineering Leader Nicholas M. Shur as Advisor for Mission Architecture

San Francisco, California — July 27, 2026 — Graviron Aerospace today announced the appointment of Nicholas M. Shur as Advisor for Mission Architecture, further strengthening the company’s technical leadership as it advances the development of reusable orbital logistics systems for post-launch services.

With more than four decades of aerospace engineering experience, including 33 years at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Shur has led and supported structural, thermal, and mechanisms engineering across numerous flagship space missions. His career includes work on programs such as the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM), the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (formerly WFIRST), and the Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions.

At Graviron, Shur will advise the company’s leadership on mission architecture, spacecraft systems engineering, technical decision-making, design reviews, and long-term product strategy as Graviron develops the Orbit Keeper platform — a family of reusable orbital vehicles designed to support satellite inspection, orbital transfer, hosted payload missions, and future on-orbit servicing.
