Graviron Aerospace Enters Partnership & Co-Development Agreement with xOrbita to Advance Autonomous Orbital Operations

San Francisco, CA — September 15, 2026 — Graviron Aerospace, Inc., a space logistics company developing reusable orbital drones for post-launch space services, today announced that it has entered into a Partnership & Co-Development Agreement with xOrbita Inc., an aerospace technology company developing autonomous navigation, sensing, and decision-making systems for orbital operations.

The partnership establishes a framework for the two companies to collaborate on the integration of xOrbita’s autonomy and relative-navigation capabilities with Graviron’s Orbit Keeper platform, with an initial focus on future orbital inspection and rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO).

Advancing Autonomous Orbital Operations

Orbit Keeper is being developed as a reusable autonomous orbital platform capable of supporting multiple post-launch missions, including orbital transfer, satellite inspection, hosted payload operations, emergency response, and future in-space servicing.

As Orbit Keeper evolves toward increasingly complex missions involving interaction with other spacecraft, autonomous perception, relative navigation, collision avoidance, and mission planning become critical capabilities.

Through the partnership, xOrbita and Graviron will work toward integrating xOrbita’s software and sensing technologies with Orbit Keeper’s spacecraft architecture. The collaboration is intended to support capabilities such as target detection and tracking, relative navigation, RPO planning, and autonomous decision support.

“The future of orbital operations will require spacecraft that can not only travel through space, but understand their surroundings and safely interact with other spacecraft,” said Atul Raj, Founder & CEO of Graviron Aerospace. “Our collaboration with xOrbita allows us to explore that capability while continuing to develop Graviron’s own spacecraft, flight-control, and autonomy technologies. We see this as a complementary relationship that can accelerate our development while preserving the long-term flexibility of the Orbit Keeper platform.”

A Collaborative Approach to Spacecraft Autonomy

The partnership is structured around a clear division of responsibilities.

Graviron will retain responsibility for the Orbit Keeper vehicle, vehicle-level flight control, propulsion, spacecraft systems, and mission-specific inspection capabilities, while xOrbita will contribute technologies related to RPO, relative navigation, target detection and tracking, sensing, and autonomous mission planning.

Detailed technical requirements and performance criteria will be jointly developed by the companies’ engineering teams during the architecture and integration phase before implementation.

Graviron will also retain final vehicle-level safety and flight-control authority, ensuring that external autonomy capabilities remain integrated within the spacecraft’s broader safety and control architecture.

Building Toward Future Flight Missions

The agreement establishes a framework for future mission-specific collaboration rather than committing either company to a particular spacecraft or launch date at this stage. Future deployments will be defined through mission-specific agreements and technical baselines established jointly by the two engineering teams.

The collaboration provides a potential pathway toward future flight demonstrations of xOrbita technologies aboard Orbit Keeper missions as both companies progress through development and qualification.

Graviron is currently advancing Orbit Keeper through subsystem development and testing, with an orbital demonstration targeted for the 2027–2028 timeframe before the company’s planned commercial operations.

Building the Infrastructure Beyond Launch

Graviron believes that the next generation of space infrastructure will require reusable spacecraft capable of performing multiple types of work after launch.

Rather than building a dedicated spacecraft for every orbital task, Orbit Keeper is being developed as a reusable platform that can support different missions throughout its operational lifetime, from transporting and hosting payloads to inspecting, relocating, and eventually servicing spacecraft.

The collaboration with xOrbita represents another step toward that vision by exploring the autonomy and sensing capabilities required for increasingly complex operations in orbit.

“Space doesn’t end at launch. Neither should spacecraft.”
